Swimming!

On Friday evening we decided to take Claire and Clark to the pool.  We had never been to this particular pool and we had  a great time.  Claire loved Greg throwing her over and over in the pool.  I remember Uncle Bob doing this to me when I was about her age.

While Greg was busy with Claire in the deep end, Clark and I were walking around and in and out of the baby pool.  It was a beach entry pool so he would walk in a little bit, squat down, giggle and walk back out.  Every time he went in a little bit further.

He really enjoyed climbing in and out of the pool as well.

He stopped in to give Greg a kiss.

Austin's Park - Pfluggerville, TX

On Wednesday some friends and I decided that we wanted to do something fun with the kiddos.  So we headed to Austin's Park.  It is about 45 minutes away from Killeen, just north of Austin.  It is pretty much Chuck E Cheese exploded!  We had a great time. In addition to all the arcade games inside there were go karts, bumper boats, miniature golf and a swing set!

Connor and his friend Riley.  I asked Connor to show me how many tickets he had won and then Riley wanted to be in the picture too.  She cracked us all up!
Connor won those tickets playing skee ball!

While Connor, Clark and I were at Austin's Park, Claire was finishing up her last day at Camp Aunt Leslie.  Leslie snapped a picture of her snoozing on the couch.  She was covered up with her new body pillow that Leslie bought for her.  She had a great time at camp!  They went swimming, biking, out for ice cream and got pedicures.  Connor is at camp until tomorrow, Saturday, and I am sure he is having a blast!

Daddy is HOME!!!

After what seemed like forever at times Greg finally arrived home from his 11 month deployment.  He was supposed to come into Killeen on Sunday June 3rd around noon.  He was delayed due to a sandstorm in Kuwait.  He spend Sunday night in Atlanta and then got into Killeen at 12:30 on Monday June 4th.  It is such a relief to have him home and our family back together again.

Patiently waiting

I screamed "There he is!"  The kids went running.

I love the sheer joy that is on Greg's face.

Clark was so excited too!

My sister made this wreath.  I just think it is so pretty

The signs that Connor and Claire made for Greg.  I am not sure if you can tell but the Welcome Home is "3D".  Connor had the idea and we made it happen.  When he told me about it, I was warped back to elementary school.  I remember making things "3D" with construction paper folded and then taped onto what ever you wanted to "pop" out.  It was so much fun making this with Connor.

First Post Take Two

I set this blog up in the spring of 2010.  I thought that I was ready to embark on the journey of blogging but obviously I was not!  Two plus years later I have decided, I am going to give it a shot again!

These are the ones I love the most and I hope that you enjoy reading about our day to day life...if you are interested!

My first post

So, I have been thinking about doing this for years. At first I wanted to do it so that family members that were far away from us could see our children and keep up with what we were getting into. I still want to do it for that reason but I also want to share what I create and use this as another creative outlet. I spend sometime on-line looking at other blogs and I think that it is a great way to share ideas and keep your far away family closer. So here goes....

This is a picture from Easter weekend...these are the ones I love the most! :)
